RAINBOW BRIDGE
These are the horses we have had to say goodbye to, but not without ensuring that the last part of their lives was full of plenty of food and love.
Remington joined us in 2015, was adopted out, returned at the end of 2017 and stayed with us til the end of his life due to a bad heart. We lost him in December 2021.
Salsa was a gorgeous senior Thoroughbred mare who unfortunately suffered a very severe colic only a few weeks after arriving here in November 2021. We are so sorry she didn't get a chance to find her perfect post-polo home.
Caru was with us from 2015 to 2021 and fostered by Lisa Lessa much of that time. He is greatly missed!
Charlie was a 25 year old Thoroughbred gelding we had to put down due to an inoperable tumor in October 2020.
Otter was progressing fabulously well in training and was in the process of being adopted when he sadly broke a pastern in the pasture and had to be put to sleep in January 2020. We are sad that he never got a chance to show the world what he could do!
Smidgen originally joined us in 2013 and after a few adoptions and returns, she stayed with us until she passed away in 2019 from a stroke. RIP Smidgen!
Reyna was in her mid thirties already when we got her in 2014. She enjoyed a nice retirement here until the effects of DSLD caught up with her in September 2018.
After almost 3 years with us, we finally lost Arian at age 43 in February 2018. R.I.P. old man!
