These are the horses we have had to say goodbye to, but not without ensuring that the last part of their lives was full of plenty of food and love.
Charlie was a 25 year old Thoroughbred gelding we had to put down due to an inoperable tumor in October 2020.
Otter was progressing fabulously well in training and was in the process of being adopted when he sadly broke a pastern in the pasture and had to be put to sleep in January 2020. We are sad that he never got a chance to show the world what he could do!
Smidgen originally joined us in 2013 and after a few adoptions and returns, she stayed with us until she passed away in 2019 from a stroke. RIP Smidgen!
Reyna was in her mid thirties already when we got her in 2014. She enjoyed a nice retirement here until the effects of DSLD caught up with her in September 2018.
After almost 3 years with us, we finally lost Arian at age 43 in February 2018. R.I.P. old man!
30 year old Rocky had over 3 years with us before we had to say goodbye in September 2017.
Poppy enjoyed her retirement at PPR until we had to say goodbye to her in August 2017.
Skyy was a super sweet teenaged gelding who unfortunately suffered from severe melanomas that were growing and making him uncomfortable. We had to make the decision to say goodbye to him in April 2016.
